This has been an incredible Catholic School week. A big thank you to PAWS for treating us with food and massages/manicures all week! We have been totally spoiled. (Leatrice Bradford)
For many years, our dedicated SJA parents have been active and supportive members of the St. Joe community. This summer, an official group of parents organized to provide hospitality services, fundraising assistance, and promotion of school spirit on campus and throughout our community.
Some of the hospitality services that PAWs provided during the first semester of the 2016-2017 school year include: Orientation and Open House, National Honor Society & Student Council Inductions, Teacher Appreciation, College Student Forum, Giving Tuesday and Christmas holiday events, and so much more. The second semester activities so far include: the College Student Forum, Leadership Brownsville luncheon, Grandparents’ Reception and a week full of services during National Catholic Schools Week.
Mrs. Liz Harris is the coordinator of the PAWs team which consists of grade level team members: 7th- Joanna Gomez, Adriana Garcia; 8th- Felicia Edge, Claudia Kauachi; 9th- Kari Greer, Judge Janet Leal; 10th- Rocio Fiero, Liz Bernus; 11th- Lisa Esteve, Gloria Salazar, Lorna Varela; 12th- Ceci de la Garza, Beth Pace, Wichis Diez. We thank each one of you for your generous and dedicated service.
Saint Joseph Academy is so grateful for the incredible about of time, talent and school spirit that the PAWs members have so generously given to the students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff over the past semester. We look forward to working together with you to make SJA the welcoming, nurturing, inclusive and of course fun-filled community that we all love being a part of at St. Joe.
