At SJA, our modern language classes go beyond learning vocabulary and grammar. While achieving fluency is certainly a goal, our courses emphasize two interconnected pathways to serve our community better: language proficiency and cultural understanding. Mastery of fluency and accuracy provides the foundation for clear and effective communication, while authentic written and multimedia resources immerse students in the cultural perspectives of the language they study.
