The mission of Marist schools is to lead young people to know and love Jesus and Mary, in the belief that they all can become good Christians and good citizens. Inspired by Marcellin Champagnat, Marist educators, before all else, love their students. Their Marial approach is marked by simplicity, family spirit, love of their work, and presence in the midst of those whom they are called to serve.
The Marist Leadership Award for this year was presented to Susana Filizola ’24 and Julio Silguero ‘24, two outstanding students at SJA. Each year, the faculty and staff nominate seniors who embody the values of our Christian community. This year's honorees reflect the diversity of our student body, with one female and one male recipient. Additionally, the Marist Heritage Award recognizes a faculty or staff member who exemplifies Saint Marcellin's ethos of "Do Good Quietly." This year, teacher Celeste Solis ‘91 was chosen by her peers for her unwavering dedication to serving others and upholding the Marist spirit.
