PPLT is involved in a number of activities both on campus and in the community. The team is responsible for the organization of the Red Ribbon Week activities at Saint Joseph Academy. Throughout the week, members make intercom announcements on important facts of substance abuse. In addition, the team organizes a Red Ribbon Rally at some of the elementary feeder schools to raise awareness and help promote drug prevention among the youth. “Being a member of PPLT means to always be a positive member of the community. To always have a helpful hand to give if someone needs it. You are always there to spread positivity and kindness for whoever needs it.” - Grace Cowen (8th Grade)

Throughout the year, PPLT members help when needed in different types of service projects or hospitality at our school. Outside of school, PPLT members perform community service each month. Prior to COVID, students socialized with the residents of Alta Vista Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a local nursing home by engaging them in a fun game of "Loteria." Currently, members design and create get well cards or positive message cards for a local nursing home and our two local hospitals. Additionally, PPLT members do several chalk art projects around campus and at the hospital. “PPLT was the first club I joined as an SJA student.
