The Saint Joseph Academy Rotary Interact Club provides high school students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills while engaging in service to the community. Students strive to put "Service about Self" as they work collaboratively to organize and participate in a minimum of two service projects each year, one of which benefits the school or local community, and the other which promotes international understanding. Rotary Interact members may also be selected to attend leadership camps such as the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and may apply to participate in Rotary Youth Exchange programs.
The SJA Rotary Interact Club receives guidance and support from the Historic Brownsville Rotary Club and is connected to the global network of official Rotary Clubs. Students who are interested in joining the club may submit an application during the membership drive at the beginning of school year. Prospective members should be in good academic and disciplinary standing as per the policies listed in the SJA Parent Student Handbook. The club is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. In order to maintain membership, students must attend all meetings and fulfill the club service requirements.
